How to Remove Background in Photoshop?

Removing the background in Photoshop is a common task that can be accomplished using various techniques, depending on the complexity of the image and the desired result. Here are the steps to remove the background using the Magic Wand tool:

Open the image in Photoshop and make a copy of the background layer by right-clicking on the layer and selecting Duplicate Layer.

Select the Magic Wand tool from the toolbar or press the W key.

Use the Magic Wand tool to select the background by clicking on it. The tool will select pixels of similar color and tone. If necessary, adjust the tolerance level in the options bar to select more or less pixels.

Expand the selection by selecting Select > Modify > Expand, and enter a value of 2-5 pixels to include more of the background in the selection.

Invert the selection by selecting Select > Inverse, so that the subject of the image is selected.

Delete the background by pressing the Delete key or selecting Edit > Clear.

Save the image as a .png or .gif file to preserve the transparent background.

Note: If the image has a complex background with multiple colors, the Magic Wand tool may not work well and you may need to use other selection tools such as the Lasso tool, the Pen tool, or the Quick Selection tool, or use the Masking feature.
